Hospital Membership

Health care is key to the success of a thriving community and Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) is focused on providing excellent health care in an environment that promotes the dignity and well-being of everyone.

There are many ways to become involved in the Hospital, including volunteering with the NHH Auxiliary or NHH Foundation, or considering a position on our Board of Directors.

Another way to engage directly with the Hospital is to become a member. To purchase a membership you must have been a resident of the catchment area for a continuous period of at least three months prior and be 18 years of age or older. NHH’s catchment area, west Northumberland, comprises the Town of Cobourg, the Municipality of Port Hope and the townships of Hamilton, Cramahe and Alnwick/Haldimand.

Memberships for the year ending June 30, 2010 are on sale now at the Hospital's Finance Office at 1000 DePalma Drive, Cobourg for a cost of $10. An official tax receipt will be issued.

This year's Annual General Meeting will take place on Thursday, June 17, 2010. In order to have full voting privileges at this meeting, including the election of the Hospital's Board of Directors, approval of NHH by-law revisions and acceptance of the annual audited financial statements, you must purchase your  2009/10 hospital membership no later than 56 days prior (i.e., by 4:00 PM, April 22, 2010).
